Our History

1896 Gustav Lennartz sen. founds a tool manufacture in Remscheid. He specializes on "hammered circular saw blades" created purely through craftsmanship.

1921 Start of the segmental cold saw blade manufacturing

1950 The product range now includes hot and cutting circular saw blades, HSS metal cutting circular saw blades, and is key focused on segmental cold saw blades in diameters from 200 to 3010 mm, which is unique in the world.

1966 LENNARTZ  produces the world-wide first Carbide-tipped circular saw blade for cutting steel.

1970 LENNARTZ is the world's first manufacturer of this category of carbide-tipped circular saw blades in series production.

1974 Founding of WAGNER-LENNARTZ DO BRASIL in Diadema/Sao Paulo. The production of the segmental cold saw blades starts there in 1976. Expansion of the product range with carbide-tipped circular saw blades, HSS metal circular saw blades, hot and friction saw blades, and saw bodies for diamond-studded circular saws and special tools.

1981 LENNARTZ acquires a sharpening company in the Saarland, Saarbrücken - Gebr. LENNARTZ Service-Gesellschaft mbH.

1986 Founding of the METABA, which is engaged in the manufacturing of bi-metal band saw blades.

2000 LENNARTZ takes over the operational real estate and major parts of the company OHLER Kreissägetechnik in Remscheid, and the SEPIO subsidiary in the Czech Republic.

2001 Series production start of thin-cutting and high-performance versions of the carbide-tipped circular saw blades, shafted circular saw blade - the ECOmax

2002 LENNARTZ receives the quality management certificate according to DIN ISO 9001:2000.

2005 Production start of bi-metal band saw blades at WAGNER-LENNARTZ DO BRASIL

2007 Founding of Lennartz Saw (Anhui) Co., Ltd in the People's Republic of China

2010 Expansion of the product range in the area of ECOmax saw blades

2015 Acquisition of the Heinemann Saw Company in Canton, Ohio, USA

2016 Production start of the carbide-tipped circular saw blades with mechanically interchangeable carbide tips, the Lennartz Vmax
